■The Simple Present Tense:-


➡The Simple Present Tense is used to describe actions, events, or states that are habitual, general truths, or regularly occurring. It's often used for routines and facts.

➡According to the Cambridge Dictionary, the simple present tense is defined as: "The tense used to describe actions or situations that are regular, true, or normal.


➡Key words:-

Always, daily, everyday, sometimes, generally, usually, often, every month, frequently.


☆Sentence Structure of Positive Sentence :-

Subject+Base verb or s/es+object+other words.


I, We, You, They :- Verb base form

Examples:-

1》I go to bhavnagar daily.

2》They meet me in magic sometimes.


He, She, It:- s/es form of verb

Examples:-

1》He writes a diary everyday.

2》 Neha draws a picture of lord Shiva.


➡When a verb ending with s, ss, sh, ch, x, o at that time we used 'es' at the end of the verb, specially for third person singular.

Examples:-

1》He watches movie every Sunday.

2》She goes to the market regularly.

3》He misses the bus daily.


Positive Sentence Examples:-

1》I eat breakfast at 7 a.m.

2》She works at a marketing firm.

3》They play soccer every weekend.

4》The sun rises in the east.

5》He studies French at the University.


☆Sentence Structure of Negative Sentence:-

Subject+do not/does not+base form of verb+object+other words.


I, We, You, They: do not/ don't 

He, She, It: does not/ doesn't 


Examples:-

1》I don't play cricket every month.

2》She doesn't make cake often.

3》Komal doesn't wash clothes.

4》They don't participate in dance party.

5》The company does not offer discounts.


☆Sentence Structure of Interrogative Sentence:-

Do/Does+Subject+Base form of word+object+other words+?


Examples:-

1》Do you speak English?

2》Does he play basketball?

3》Does she enjoy cooking?

4》Do they know the answer?

5》Does he travel often for work?

The Simple Past Tense:-

➡ The Simple Past Tense in English, is used to represent an action or event that took place in the past. With many verbs the simple past tense is formed by adding an  'ed' or 'd' to the end of the base form. There are other verbs which behave differently and take a different spelling when used in simple past tense.

Definition:-
➡ The Simple Past Tense According to the Cambridge Dictionary, is defined as the form of verb used to describe an action that happened before the present time and is no longer happening.

Key words:-


Yesterday, last week, last night, a month ago, a day before, a few days ago, sometimes ago, already.

☆Sentence Structure of Positive Sentence:-

Subject +ed form of verb/ past tense form of verb/ base form of verb +object +other words.


Examples:-
1》I danced yesterday.
2》They accepted my request easily.
3》She bought a banana yesterday.
4》The students received my message last night.
5》Het cut the tree last month.

Subject +did not/didn't +V1 +object +other words.


Examples:-
1》She did not call ne last night.
2》We did not travel abroad last year.
3》The company did not launch the new product.
4》The children did not play outside after school.
5》He did not attend the meeting. 


☆Sentence Structure of Interrogative Sentence:-

Did +Subject +V1 +Object +Other words+?

Examples:-
1》Did you visit the museum yesterday?
2》Did he travel to Paris last summer?
3》Did we meet at the conference last day?
4》Did she finish her homework last night?
5》Did he remember to bring the documents?
